Glorious Sunshine!

Hard to believe I haven't posted for so long!  One thing I want to work on this summer is collecting kitchen stuff - like serving bowls, utensils, plates and so on for having dinner parties.  I decided at Christmas last year that I need to get over the fact that my house is small and just have parties anyhow.  They may have to be smallish, but I still can do it!  SO!  I march onward to THAT goal.  I've also been looking at some neat ideas for changing our home like new paint, accessories and such.  This picture inspires me a great deal.  Believe me there are other pictures!  LOL!  Can't wait to get to work on a project.

Saturday was such a good day.  We got up late and took our time about getting outside, but when we did we really worked hard.  Glen mowed the yard and cleaned the gutters.  Me and the kids worked on raking leaves/pine needles, caulking all our cracks on the outside of the house, cleaned down the outside basement steps (ECK!) and cooked.  We were starving by the time we finally sat down to eat.  I fixed baked spaghetti.  YUM!  Believe it or not it's my first time fixing that.  Turned out REALLY good!  And I fixed cheesy garlic biscuits to go with it.  Yum...we might have leftovers for supper tonight.  Can't decide between that and tacos.  Hmmm...

Sunday was GREAT!  Church was wonderful and afterward we got to have lunch with some friends and get to know two other couples better.  FUN!  Good food, good fellowship - great combination!!  And believe it or not I came home and washed clothes.  Then we discovered that the computer was acting CRAZY.  Oh, thrill...complete with eyeroll!  Finally got that "fixed" then we had popcorn and ice cream and watched Gilligan's Island.  The kids think it's pretty funny, but Glen and I usually sleep right through it!

Casey has done so well with her braces these first few weeks!  Incredible how quickly her teeth have begun to change.

On to supper!  Still don't know what we're going to have.  Maybe I should revisit the idea of menu planning!
